I’m delighted to say that I’ve started work on a new eBook for MakeUseOf, currently titled Research Your Family Tree Online!
Although covering the use of Ancestry.com’s vast archive of census, immigration and military records, the guide will also look at offline methods of data collation for family tree research as these are often made possible by online indexes and contact details for registry offices, churches, graveyards and so on.
This has been a particularly good project to get commissioned, one that I’ve been pitching for a while and I’ve spent a couple of weeks chomping at the bit and reviewing various magazines and books on the topic.
I’m hoping the book will be out before Christmas 2013, and as with other MakeUseOf guides it should be available to download free on the website or for a small fee for Kindle.
